Restoration
and Conversion of an old Stable block into a Three Bedroom House.
This
is a Grade 2 Listed Building and every effort was made to
retain the character of the original structure and to blend into the local
area

Old
asbestos roof had to be dismantled and disposed of safely before
works could begin
|
This
project was carried out in close consultation with the Client, Architect,
Structural Engineer and local Conservation Officer.
Kent Peg Tiles laid over new insulation (conforming to latest standards) constructed within original roof timbers
Original posts and rafters had to be retained and new posts, designed by structural engineer, constructed to strengthen structure

Roof
had to be strengthened and redesigned to effect usable space inside.
Ashlar walls were constructed to achieve this.
